Last year, just before the pandemic started, I took a wonderful class on academic communication taught by Sandra Tsing Loh. At the end of the class, each of us were recorded doing a short TED-style talk and a radio-style news story on our research. The recording sessions were a little tense; we finished them a shortly before the university shut down entirely and we were just beginning to take precautions against the virus. I finally received the edited version of my recording! I’ll hopefully be getting back to the project described after I finished my dissertation.
